Pizza and Phleb Night

Are you a masochist? Do you like sticking needles in your friends? Do you crave free pizza? If you answered 'yes' to at least 2 of these questions, WAMSS has the perfect event for you! Our first ever phlebotomy workshop for preclinical medical students is coming up.

When: Thursday 6th of May 6-8pm and Wednesday 12th of May 5-7pm (Wednesday session is FULL)

Where: Social Sciences Seminar Room G202

24 places per session only!

SHMRC 2010 Committee -Applications Now Open!

The Students in Health and Medical Research (SHMRC) is the only research conference exclusively for undergraduate health students in Australia.  Supported by WAMSS, this event brings together clinicians, student researchers and the WA health community for presentation and recognition of the fantastic research being done by these students.

SHMRC 2010 aims to uphold the high standards of previous years and to be bigger than ever, with the aim to continue expanding the number of students from different backgrounds applying and presenting.

Being part of the SHMRC committee will give you the opportunity to be part of the growing research community in WA, interact with the avid student and clinical researchers who are renowned in their field.

Research and Publication Opportunity!

The Journal of Surgical Case reports would like to invite you to submit case reports for publication in the first international journal dedicated to surgical case reports.

Journal of Surgical Case Reports (www.jscr.co.uk) is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal (ISSN: 2042-8812) that will consider any original case report that expands the field of surgery. JSCR is a monthly journal with the first issue being published March 2010.

If you want to sign up but all the sessions are full, please check back later in the day, or the following day, as I'll keep checking and open up new sessions as required.

To sign up, click "Events" up the top then "Sports and SGR Signups", and pick your session.

Check back weekly for new sessions (eg. opening up of the "Signs Rounds" sessions, new systems).
