From parties to social sports to panel discussions, there is a WAMSS event for everyone. This is possible due to the efforts of the WAMSS Committee and Sub-Committees.
WAMSS Vampire Cup 2025 Drive #1
Welcome to Vampire Cup 2025! 🩸🏆
Vampire Cup is the Australian Medical Students' Association’s (AMSA) campaign encouraging medical students to donate blood, plasma, or platelets as much as possible. Points are earned by each donation made by a student or a proxy (someone donating on their behalf). Universities across Australia compete to raise the most points and claim bloody supremacy. This year, the campaign is running for 8 weeks - from April 7th to June 2nd.
All donations are made through Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, Australia’s national blood bank service. Make sure to put down your team as: University of Western Australia (UWA) WAMSS.

MD2 Sunset Soirée 🌅⛵️
WAMSS Presents: MD2 Sunset Soirée 🌅
As we wrap up pre-clerkship and look ahead to the wards, join us for an afternoon of celebration, sunshine, and stunning views on the MD2 Sunset Soirée—our annual send-off before clinical years begin.
Hop aboard a private cruise departing from Barrack Street Jetty for an unforgettable afternoon on the Swan River. Enjoy good vibes, great company, and golden-hour views as we celebrate everything we've achieved so far—and all that's to come.
🕒 Time: 2:30 PM – 6:30 PM
🚢 Departure: The boat will leave strictly at 3:00 PM, so please arrive on time.
📍 Location: Barrack Street Jetty (departing and returning here)
💸 Tickets: $55 – includes entry, canapé-style catering, and a licensed bar on board

WAMSS Presents: Sunday Sesh Barefoot Bowls

WAMSS is thrilled to host a fun-filled lawn bowls event for UWA medical students of all year levels at the Leederville Sporting Club! There will be only 120 tickets available! And what's more, to keep your energy levels up, a selection of piping hot pizzas for you to enjoy will also be included.Cheap drinks will also be available with prices that won’t bowl you over!
Whether you are an experienced lawn bowler or a newcomer to the game, everyone is welcome to join in. So, grab your mates and come along to the Leederville Sporting Club for an unforgettable evening of lawn bowls, drinks, and pizza. We can't wait to see you there!

BIG KAHOONA BASH 🍹🏝️🍍
Get ready for an unforgettable night of live music , games, and reasonably priced drinks! This event will run on 7-11pm, the 21st of March at Oak Lawn, UWA. The theme is tropical, so make sure your best Hawaiian shirt is ironed and ready to go 🍹🏝️🍍. We'll have live DJ's throughout the night, kicking off with some shorter sessions by your very own WAMSSs DJs 🤩 before closing out with a Red Bull performance 🤯. Tickets are $10 with food included, and $5 drinks with a variety of beers, ciders, cruisers, ginger beers and more. We'll have a number of games (we know how competitive you all are), including limbo and jenga, and plenty of seating when you want to kick back and chill.
