2013 Interhealth Committee Applications Open

Interhealth is WAMSS' Global Health Group, and we are currently looking for passionate students to join us in working towards social equity and the advancement of global health in 2013. Through Interhealth, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a vibrant committee, organise local and global projects, attend conferences and workshops, engage in education and training sessions, and make a meaningful contribution to global health.

If you’re interested in getting more than just a degree from your university experience, we strongly encourage you to apply!


Applications open Wednesday 17th October 2012, and close at 11:59pm on Friday 9th November 2012.

Please note that applications for Teddy Bear Hospital Coordinator(s) will close 2 NOVEMBER 2012.

In 2013, Interhealth is expanding its committee to enable non-medical UWA students to apply for selected roles.

  • Local Exchange Officer (LEO)
  • Institute for Indian Mother and Child (IIMC) Coordinators(s) - elected March 2013.
  • Access to Essential Medicines (A2EM) Coordinator - elected March 2013.

Committee positions open to all UWA students (medical and non-medical):

Project Coordinators
  • Zonta Birthing Kits Coordinator(s)
  • Global Health Short Course (GHSC) Coordinator(s)
  • LINCS Coordinator(s)
  • Crossing Borders for Health (CB4H) Cooordinator
  • Code Green Co-Coordinator
  • ICHRC Coordinators(s) - elected March 2013.

Students who are not currently WAMSS full or associate members will be required to apply for membership if they are appointed to an Interhealth committee role.
