Call for applications for the position of SPAMH (Students Passionate About Mental Health) Chair, 2014
Students Passionate About Mental Health is the mental health arm of WAMSS (The Western Australian Medical Students’ Society).
We are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated individual(s) to lead SPAMH in 2014.
Responsibilities will include planning and executing the inaugural Under The Rug Campaign, an art project that aims to increase the awareness and decrease the stigma surrounding mental health and illness. You will have at your disposal a significant working budget, a dedicated sub-committee, and the full support of the WAMSS Executive in order to help you create a memorable and successful event for all UWA students.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to develop and continue other events in the SPAMH calendar, such as the highly successful Mental Health Q&A Session, and WAMSS’ Annual R U OK Day Program.
The ideal applicant will be passionate about mental health, and dedicated to improving the mental health of Australian communities. They will be highly organised, and prepared to take leadership and realise their own unique vision for the Under The Rug Project.
Events experience will be beneficial, but not required. Applicants must be a medical student at UWA. You may apply in pairs. Please note that if you are applying as a pair, BOTH applicants must fill in the application form separately.
